1955 - 1990 - Récit 1 - Récit 2

Nicolas Blin was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, and brought up in a family of painters and architects, whose spirit remains vivid. The famous producer, Roger Blin was his uncle.

As early as 1972, when he was only 17, he started exhibiting his paintings in private galleries.

In 1976, he entered the master school of Albert Zavaro, teacher at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (National School of Fine Arts) in Paris, where he enjoyed discovering the techniques of stained glass, frescoes and lithography.

Several exhibitions took place in Paris and the provinces, with paintings related to each other through a single theme. He started with the Poetic universe of Henry Bosco (1981, Arturo Lopez centre in Neuilly).

In 1984, he graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris.

Nicolas Blin pursues a specific objective: he aims to give the viewer a perception of time flowing through the piece of art, as in a poem, in music or in choreography.

The Récit 1 was presented in 1988 at the Centre Chaillot-Galiera in Paris. That marked the first occasion on which he achieved his goal, with characters giving life to complementary paintings with a recurring theme: the play of linearity of his plastic and art speech.

Next, he took part in the autumn show in the Grand Palais of Paris (Salon d’Automne), which was the last collective exhibition in which he participated. In 1988, a few paintings were exhibited at the Robert Guiot gallery, avenue Matignon.
